Neurodevelopmental  Programme

What are Primitive Reflexes?

Primitive Reflexes are  automatic involuntary movements present at birth and essential for survival and early development.  They are controlled by the brainstem and don't require any conscious effort. Think sucking, rooting for food, grasping, rolling, crawling etc.

Movement is our first language. Importantly the reflexes lay down the neural pathways crucial for later voluntary movements, learning and sensory integration. They mature the Central Nervous System.

The Neuro-Developmental Programmes

Still unsure, please book a free call, if you are ready to go please book initial screening consultation.

After an initial Screening Consultation, we undertake a full Neuro-Developmental Assessment to see what primitive reflexes are unintegrated. From this, we then offer a Neuro-developmental programme of exercises, in order to  integrate the reflexes. When you integrate the reflexes you improve things such as focus, reading, writing, coordination and reduce anxiety

"At last someone understands my child.  I knew all along that he was intelligent but it just wasn’t showing in his results. Now we know why and there is something we can do about it."

….” is playing football at lunchtime at school and scoring goals (6 in one game!). He has always avoided football in the past, as he doesn't like the rough and tumble so this is good news on two counts. ..He managed to write two paragraphs for his independent writing assessment, which his teacher and TA were amazed by the amount in one go, the content and his handwriting. Oh, and he has gone up a reading level at school too. Yippee.” SN
